Well what a wee treat this place turned out to be ,i nearly didnt get in as i arrived to late and they were closing. As i turned to leave this lovely bubbly texan lady named Kimberly came bounding out to beckon me back in again. We have cake and loads of it please come in and try it all. The thing about the American people is their hospitality and their energy is second to none and you instantly feel welcomed . This was a complete surprise to me the quality of American style Homebaking on offer. The Blue Door is inside a Caravan Park in Thurso and is open to the public serving excellent Texan style burgers and honestly some of the best Homebaking i have tasted in a long time .The Texas Gooey cake was quite simply heaven and i am going to try this recipe myself . Every single cake i tasted was exceptional especially a real american made Brownie - oh wow wow !!. If everybody in this neck of the woods is not running to this place overnight i need to know why.One of the best views from this Coffee shop is looking over Orkney .Whats keeping you all - oh by the way they are only open Fridays and Saturdays . Well done Kimberly and her lovely friendly local lassess.
