The cafe on the Loch
Today my senior assessor and myself payed a visit to the Cafe on the Loch at Loch Lomond shores .The weather was intermittent rain and yet The banks of Loch Lomond still captivate and enchant you . In this modern ,bright and airy centre there is much to do for families with a kiddies play centre while the adults can listen to beautiful haunting Scottish tunes on the large screen TV.This is also a tourist shop with plenty to take home for gifts.Our aim was to assess the Cafe as it had been nominated online last year .The baking on display was excellent and well presented as were the salads and other foods on show. We were treated to two large plates of every conceivable cake on show - wonderful and in particular the carrot cake and shortbread. I was especially pleased to find this quality of baking so close to home and can honestly say very fresh. Very pleasant staff in this Cafe also which for me is a huge plus while eating out these days. The last big bonus for this cafe has to be the outside seating area overlooking the most beautiful spot in the world.I will be back for sure now that in know its not far from home. Well done .
