Today my intrepid friend, Anna Taylor Dillon, and myself tried out the SugarFall Patisserie in Byres Road, Glasgow.
We opted for the afternoon tea for 2 priced at £52 .A nice bright, airy and clean shop with about 14 covers inside, and an extensive display of beautifully crafted cakes. Our tea stand included tea/coffee ,freshly prepared sandwiches of our choice( You can choose at their website) and some small plain scones with Jam and clotted cream. The scones were a little dry and no butter option sadly. The small friands were also a little dry, but the small brownie pieces and raspberry macarons were very good. For that price tag you can choose 1 cake each from the stunning display on show. These were the cakes we were waiting for and they didn't disappoint- I had the " Rich " and Anna had the Apple ,Full of texture, flavour and fresh, fresh, fresh. Next time we think, we will just go in and feast on cakes of our choice, at £7.50 each, we could fly home happy !
